The following

-
Car* (For
use by Outreach counselors and for transporting

*An individual donor who
itemizes deductions on Form 1040 may deduct the fair
market value of the donated automobile as a charitable
contribution for the year of donation, provided the
charity plans to use the automobile for a significant
intervening period. On the other hand, if the charity
plans to sell the automobile, the deduction is limited
to the gross proceeds obtained by the charity and may be
taken only in the year when sold. Since Kent Youth Inc.
plans to use the vehicle for its program we will provide
the necessary forms, data and statements that attest to
this fact. An IRS Publication "A Donors Guide to Vehicle
Donations" is available to help in understanding the tax
implications of this kind of donation.
